Adhesive-backed plates need an appropriate prepared surface; mechanically fastened plates need the specified hole diameter and spacing. How do engraved equipment plates differ from cable and port labels?

Engraved equipment plates identify the electrical and mechanical equipment itself; cable and port labels identify connections. A data center can need both, but they are different ordering scopes. For an engraved package, provide equipment names, panel and disconnect identifiers, power-distribution plates, and approved control legends.
