Color is information on a safety label. Using the expected combinations means a worker reads the hazard correctly at a glance, and it keeps your marking consistent with common conventions.
Common combinations
- White on red: danger, fire, and emergency stop identification.
- Black on yellow: caution and general hazard warnings.
- White on black or black on white: equipment and circuit identification.
- White on blue: notice and mandatory-action information.
- White on green: safety equipment and egress information.
Two-layer engraving makes color permanent
Because these labels are engraved through a colored cap to a contrasting core, the color coding is built into the material. It will not fade to an ambiguous gray the way a printed label can.
