Engraved Equipment Labels for Taylor Projects

Prepare an engraved identification package for your Taylor tool-install, electrical or mechanical project. Send approved device names, equipment references and utility tag schedules. We engrave in Kennesaw, Georgia and ship nationwide.

Identification for Taylor Semiconductor Facility Work

Samsung lists Taylor in its Texas manufacturing-site network. Semiconductor facility projects can involve separate identification requirements for tools, individual devices, electrical distribution and mechanical utilities. Send the requirements approved for your work package so the quote covers the specified plates and tags.

Keep the parent equipment name, individual device ID and installation reference clear in the source file. Identify which fields must be engraved and which are used only to group the delivery. Have the responsible project team resolve incomplete or conflicting identifiers before releasing the list.

Plan the Taylor Receiving and Installation Groups

Include the receiving address, required in-hand date and groups such as tool, room, system or installation area. Request the sorting and packing arrangement with the quote. Confirm production, shipping and any special receiving requirements for the actual order before relying on the delivery schedule.

Keep Device Data and Physical Specifications Together

Identify the Correct Device

Use approved identifiers for the equipment and its individual devices. Keep reference fields separate from text that belongs on the finished plate.

Describe the Installation

Show mounting space, hole or slot requirements and any specified lettering layout. Request a proof for the project team's review.

Confirm the Actual Stock

Send the specified substrate and exposure conditions. Confirm material and attachment rather than choosing a grade from its appearance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions

Keep the device identifier and the parent machine identifier distinct in the approved label list. Send the exact wording for each photo-eye, proximity sensor or other device, with the required plate dimensions and attachment. Include the parent tool or installation group as a separate schedule field when it helps organize the package. CPL engraves from supplied identification data; the equipment owner or project team must approve the names and their relationship.

Send the metal requirement exactly as written, including the specified alloy, grade, thickness, dimensions and attachment. Ask whether that complete requirement can be supplied before approving the quote. CPL standard identification uses multi-layer engraving laminate, commonly called phenolic or lamacoid; it is a different material from a metal tag. Do not authorize a plastic substitute from appearance alone. Have the responsible project team approve any proposed material change.

Send the required viewing position, available plate space and approved lettering or layout requirement for review. Include a drawing or photograph showing where the instrument identification will be installed, plus the text, dimensions, colors and mounting details. Request a proof so the project team can check the proposed layout. A plate made to fit a device is not automatically readable from the floor; confirm visibility for the actual installation before approving production.

List the chemical names and concentrations, normal and peak temperatures, exposure duration and cleaning process. Describe the mounting surface and whether the plate or its attachment can contact those chemicals. Request review of the actual stock and complete attachment against the relevant manufacturer documentation. The trade name phenolic does not establish acid resistance. Keep the material requirement with the utility tag schedule so it can be checked before the order is approved.

Yes, when the approved schedule calls for both pieces. Use separate rows for the hanging tag and fixed plate, even if their engraving text is identical. Specify each piece's dimensions, material, quantity and attachment, including hole or slot locations where required. Give both rows the same approved instrument reference and installation group. Confirm the two layouts with the order so the finished pieces can be matched without treating different attachment formats as identical repeats.

List laser-equipment safety signs separately from the equipment identification plates and have their requirements reviewed. Include the approved wording, symbols, dimensions, colors, material and installation requirements rather than assuming a tool ID covers that scope. CPL reproduces supplied identification and approved layouts; material selection alone does not establish compliance for a completed sign. Have the responsible project team confirm the required safety marking and ask which items the quote includes before authorizing production.

Supply the approved maintenance-system identifier as its own text field alongside the tool or equipment ID. Identify which fields belong on the plate and which are only order or installation references. Preserve prefixes, punctuation and leading zeros, and provide the required line arrangement or layout. Review the proof against the controlling records. This request defines engraved text; any machine-readable code, scanning requirement or software connection needs separate confirmation rather than being assumed from the identifier.

Include the owner-approved date as a separate text line or in the approved plate layout. State what the date means and the exact format to reproduce, rather than sending an unexplained number beside the equipment ID. Keep its source record and revision with the order information, and check the proof before release. CPL reproduces supplied equipment information; the owner must verify the date and any meaning assigned to it in the facility's records.

Ask the equipment manufacturer or owner which original identification must be retained and what replacement information is authorized. Send the verified text, source drawing if available, dimensions, mounting pattern and a clear photograph for CPL's review. Flag missing serial numbers, ratings or certification marks instead of reconstructing them. Keep the manufacturer's instructions with the request. The engraving quote covers the supplied plate specifications; confirm any warranty-related requirement with the manufacturer before changing the original marking.

No. A brushed-silver finish describes appearance, not stainless-steel composition. CPL's color chart includes brushed-silver engraving stock, while the material guide distinguishes modern engraving laminate from other specified substrates. If the device tag must be stainless steel, keep that requirement explicit and ask for confirmation of the actual material before quoting. Select the background and engraved text colors separately for laminate work; a metal-looking finish must not be used to infer an alloy or performance rating.
