NEC Article 690 requires permanent, weather-resistant identification on photovoltaic systems at every disconnect, inverter, combiner box, conduit run, and point of utility interconnection. Required label types include inverter and AC/DC disconnect labels, rapid shutdown labels per NEC 690.12, and combiner box labels. Conduit identification labels at code-required intervals and point of connection labels at the utility interconnection are also required. Custom Phenolic Labels produces all NEC 690 required label types in the signal word color combinations mandated by ANSI Z535, red/white for danger, orange/white for caution, and yellow/black for voltage identification.
